The Fargo Winter Cup is open to any USSF Member Organization's teams and teams from certified Canadian clubs. Teams and players must have their current player passes or an official roster from their club indicating the listed players are registered with the club or if guest players, that they are registered with a qualifying club. Medical release forms and birth certificates are also required. If you or your team is being denied the opportunity to play in this tournament by your club or your USYS state association - for whatever reason - please contact the Winter Cup Tournament Director, Matt Noah,
for assistance.
The Winter Cup is limited to the first 38 teams that apply and are approved. Teams ranging in age from Under-9 to Under-16 are eligible to play. There will be separate male and female divisions. The final division decisions will depend on registration!
Each team is guaranteed 3 48-minute games. A championship game is guaranteed for each division. Age divisions may be combined depending upon registration. Teams from U9-U12 will play 6v6. Older teams will play 5v5. The Fargo Winter Cup is sanctioned by US Club Soccer. The cost is $220 per team, $260 after November 25, 2009. The first game is scheduled for 4 pm on January 15 but could be moved to as early as 3 pm. The last game will conclude at 3 pm on January 17.
* This facility is a converted dual hockey rink facility. Each rink is converted to a soccer field with boards and player boxes. The surface is a hard turf.
