The Fargo Soccer Club is pleased to host the USSF E coaching clinic in September, 2010. Registration is open now.
The E coaching license is required in order to coach competitive soccer at various levels in North Dakota and Minnesota. The E Clinic is an excellent clinic session that will teach aspiring coaches great things about coaching soccer. The club will reimburse successful parent coaches the cost of the clinic if they coach for 1 year in the Fargo Soccer Club. One must obtain and hold the E license for one year prior to applying to undertake the D License. The Fargo Soccer Club encourages parent coaches.
The introductory E clinic will be held September 24-26. The clinic will consist of a 3-hour Friday night session followed by a 10-hour Saturday session and 5-hour Sunday session. The clinic consists of both classroom and field work. Participants should expect to coach and play soccer during this clinic. The E Clinic is open to anyone interested in learning more about soccer. The cost is $200 for coaches affiliated with a North Dakota youth soccer club and $250 for all others.
The clinic is scheduled to be taught by former Jonathan Tudor, the director of coaching for the Chanhassen's CC United Soccer Club - www.ccunitedsoccer.com. His coaching credentials and playing experience are extensive. Their club is one of Minnesota's largest with over 60 competitive teams and an extensive rec program.
The Fargo Soccer Club is offering an optional fundraiser for those interested in earning money that can only be applied towards soccer registration fees, uniform costs, soccer balls or other soccer items from the Fargo Soccer Club. There are no mandatory fundraisers for the soccer club.
We will be selling pizzas from Pizza Corner. Each pizza sold will result in a $1.60 credit towards your child’s soccer account. You can use this to pay for soccer fees or anything else that can be purchased online at the Fargo Soccer Club. It may be possible to earn more than $1.60 per pizza if the entire club sells more than certain minimums. The profit of a pizza is $2.00 so the club also retains $0.40 on each pizza for administrate purposes and for general club expenses and profit. Each participant earns 80% of the profits from sales.
If you would like to get started, there will be more information and sales orders distributed on Wednesday, September 1 from 5:30 – 6:00 pm at Kennedy Elementary warming house. Our fundraising chairwoman, Camille Anthony, will be there to answer questions and distribute forms. If you absolutely cannot be there, you can contact Camille with a request for the forms. You may contact Camille at or 701.238.4699.
We tried this fundraiser a few weeks ago with one family. They earned close to $800 in 3 days of selling. Their soccer fees for their 4 kids are paid through the end of Summer 2011.
