Fargo Soccer Club: January 8, Day 1 of Winter Soccer
|
|
Saturday, January 8 - Session 1 of Winter Indoor Soccer
1. Come early to get set to take the field right at the start of your child's session.
2. Everyone has to have their own ball and full water bottle.
3. Shin guards are required.
4. Uniforms are not required for January 8.
5. Footware should be indoor soccer shoes or flat-bottomed tennis shoes. Outdoor cleats and running shoes are not allowed.
6. January 8 will emphasize 2 important principles; (1) fun, and (2) fundamental skills. If it's not fun, no one will try hard. Trying hard is important to skill development.
7. We will have 3 varieties of coaching at all sessions this winter. (1) Master Coach - Matt Noah, in charge of session plans. (2) Skills coaches - those listed as head coaches as well as any volunteer coaches from Shanley high school boys and girls teams. (3) Parent coaches.
8. Our first session will deal with passing, dribbling and shooting. We will teach those skills using fun games, fun activities, the boards, etc.
9. The MetroRec is a unique facility. We will use its unique character; low ceilings, webbed steel girders, hockey boards and wall to our advantage.

If you don't have a uniform and did not order one, your child will not be allowed to play in any games.
